Love locally.

Broadway is actively engaged in multiple community ministries with the goal of expressing the love of Jesus Christ through practical missions involvement.  Below you will find more information about some of our local ministry partnerships.  We also encourage you to get involved in a Sunday School class where additional missions opportunities frequently arise.

  • Hugs from Christ Hospital Ministry

"Hugs From Christ”  are gift bags prepared and given to families in the ICU waiting room at Baptist Health Lexington.  These bags include a Bible, small toiletries items, snacks, etc, plus a cozy fleece throw.

  • Mary Todd Elementary Partnership

What better way to invest in the community than by showing love to young students and those who teach them?  This partnership has included opportunities to "adopt a teacher" and to donate school supplies, socks, underwear, and toys for underprivileged students.

  • Room In ThE Inn

"Room in the Inn” is a ministry in which local congregations volunteer their space for sleeping and offer dinner to homeless members of the community.  The sole mission is to be the heart, the hands, and the face of Jesus Christ to all being served by offering unconditional love and fellowship to those who are in our community.

Each winter season, Broadway partners with other local churches to offer shelter  to the homeless in our community. Up to 12 homeless men are brought to our church once a month to have dinner, fellowship with others, shower, and spend the night. The next morning, the men have breakfast and are given sack lunches before boarding the van for their return trip downtown.

Please contact the church office for more information about serving in this ministry.
