  • Dr. Daniel G. Ausbun

    Senior Pastor

    A pastor for over 15 years, Dr. Ausbun was raised in Vestavia Hills, Alabama and committed his life to Christ when he was 15. Educated in Southern Baptist schools - he has a B.A. from Samford University, a M.Div. and Th.M. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He's also in the process of becoming an Association of Certified Biblical Counselor. Pastor Daniel's passion is disciple-making by connecting through church - connect to God, connect to others, and connect to missions. An Alabama and Samford fan living in Big Blue Nation - He's married to Sherri and they have four children: Daniel, Jr., Elizabeth, Benjamin and Esther.

  • James Heard

    Associate Pastor of Outreach & Visitation

    James Heard, who is originally from Malvern, Arkansas, has served at Broadway Baptist Church since 2007. James has over 62 years experience serving as pastor of churches in Arkansas, Kentucky and Indiana. He holds a B.A. from Ouachita Baptist University and a M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He loves the Arkansas Razorbacks. James and his wife, Marguerite, reside in Lexington and are parents to three children, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

  • David Dale

    Minister of Music & Senior Adults

    David Dale has 50+ years of experience in the ministry - he serves as Broadway's Minister of Music and Senior Adults. A graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in piano and continued studies at the University of Oklahoma for his Master of Choral Conducting degree. David has served churches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kentucky. He's also an Oklahoma Sooners fan! David and his wife, Marla, have three children and eight grandchildren.

  • Chris Wright

    Contemporary Worship & College minister

    Chris has served in ministry for over 8 years. He's from Williamsburg, Kentucky and graduated with a B.S. from Campbellsville University. He's working on a M.A. in worship from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Chris enjoys playing music and spending time with his family - he loves the Kentucky Wildcats and Carolina Panthers! He's married to Lauren, and they have one son, Thomas.

  • Zach Bauer

    Minister of Students

    Zach Bauer has served in student ministry for 10 years. He has a B.A. from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and a M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. An ordained minister, Zach has led student ministries in his home state of Oklahoma and his new home of Kentucky. He's passionate about local and international missions and has served on teams in Mexico, India, China, and Malaysia. Zach enjoys spending time with his wife Beth and their two children: Isaiah & Ava. He also loves traveling to new places, cooking, grilling, and playing basketball. Zach is a die hard fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Oklahoma Sooners, and the Dallas Cowboys.

  • Sherry Lyons

    Children's Ministry & Preschool Director

    Sherry Lyons grew up at Broadway and now serves in two positions - leading our children's ministry from birth to 5th grade since 2013 and directing Broadway's preschool and mother's day out since 2009. She has a passion for leading children to Christ and creating amazing memories for children and their families.

    Sherry and her husband, Chris - live in Lexington and have two daughters and one granddaughter. They're Kentucky Wildcat fans.
